Project Description
Downey Planning were commissioned by the Enniskerry Forum to conduct an evidence based community led project to identify and provide recommendations for actions to inform the development of a five year Village Development Plan. Community workshops were conducted as part of the study which utilised methods such as open floor discussions to allow members of the community to express their views and communicate ideas. On-site surveys, engagement with both the local community and visitors to the village and this coupled with widespread background research, baseline analysis and technical assessments provided the foundations for the formulation of an evidence based recommendations report which identified 7 no. recommendations for actions to inform the development of a five year village development plan for Enniskerry. The final recommendations included measures to provide for a strengthened marketing and promotional campaign and the provision of a cyclists and walkers hub within the village.
